Blackburn v CHELSEA: Preview

Venue: Ewood Park

Date: Saturday, 5 November

Kick-off: 1500 GMT

We’ve had a couple of woeful games lately and it’s time we got back to winning ways unless we’re all going to lose the will to live on a weekly basis.

Today’s opponents are having it harder than us though, in the bottom three with only one win in the league so far this season, so if we can’t get a win at Ewood Park today, we want shooting to be honest.

SQUAD NEWS

For Blackburn, Ryan Nelsen (knee), Michel Salgado (hamstring), Scott Dann (calf) and Vince Grella (hip) are all out. David Dunn and Junior Hoilett  should be available again.

For Chelsea, Essien (knee) remains out til Christmas. The suspended Didier Drogba (arm) will return after the international break and Mikel (back) and Hilario (flu) are available again.

LAST MEETING

Chelsea 2-0 Blackburn (15th January 2011)

PREDICTION

Blackburn haven’t beaten us in our last ten league games, they look like they couldn’t buy a win right now but then given our recent performances, maybe we should hold off on the optimism?
