Welcome To Chelsea Oscar

It’s hardly been football’s best kept secret anyway but yesterday, Chelsea officially announced the signing of Oscar from Internacional in a deal rumoured to be worth £25million.

The highly-rated Brazil playmaker has played at every level of international football from Under-15 to Under-20, making his senior Brazil debut in September last year. Right now, he’s part of Brazil’s squad for London 2012 and played in the 2-0 warm-up win over Team GB last Friday.

Full name Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Junior, the 20 year old is a product of the Sao Paulo youth set up and moved to Internacional from there in December 2010.  Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or winger, he’s meant to be shit hot at pass-and-move football and having a good footballing head on his shoulders, so it’s not surprising he is viewed as one of his country’s most exciting talents. We look forward to seeing Oscar in his Chelsea kit.

Welcome to Chelsea Oscar.
