Who Will Conte Move For This Summer?

Many had written the Italians off before the tournament had started, but an impressive opening game has shown just what Antonio Conte is all about. While the days of an all-star Italy team are gone (for now), the tactical setup reaffirmed just how good Conte is.

As he looks forward to taking over the helm of the four-time Premier League champions, we look at three players that are top of Conte’s summer shopping list.

Radja Nainggolan
The Roma man has been a long term target for Conte, who tried to lure the Belgian to Juventus. Nainggolan has repeatedly stated that he would not join the Turin giants, who have monopolised Serie A in the last few seasons.

The tough tackling midfielder would certainly fit into Conte’s midfield, and would suggest that the Italian tactician is not looking to overhaul his approach to the game.

The Belgian has reportedly been heavily encouraged by compatriots Hazard and Courtois to join the Blues.

Alvaro Morata
With persistent rumours surrounding the departure of Diego Costa, and the abject failure of loanees Falco and Pato, Conte will be in need of a new face up front this summer.

With quality strikers hard to come by, a lot of Europe’s top clubs have focused on Alvaro Morata, who is currently plying his trade at Juventus.

The Spanish striker is highly rated in Italy, but doubts remain whether he is the 20+ goal a season Premier League champions demand.

John Stones
With John Terry in the twilight of his career and questions about the form of Gary Cahill, Conte will be looking to bolster his centre back options.

Rumours persist around a Chelsea approach for Everton centre back John Stones, but for a coach who is used to Chiellini, Barzagli and Bonucci, the mercurial English CB looks like an unlikely target.
