Arsenal v CHELSEA: Preview

Date: Saturday 24th Sept, 2016
Venue: Emirates Stadium
Kick-off: 17:30 BST

This evening’s game sees us take the short trip to the Emirates to take on Arsenal. We’ve been a thorn in Wenger’s side for quite some time and the Arsenal boss didn’t do any better against Conte in their last meeting either, when Conte’s Juventus knocked Arsenal out of the Champions League.
On current form though, Arsenal are having the better time of it, winning their last 3 in the League. Chelsea meanwhile lost to Liverpool in the last league game, off the back of a draw against Swansea. Antonio Conte looked a bit bemused with some of the decisions called in that one, but given the way Wenger’s side rack up reds in this fixture, I’m hoping decisions follow the usual trend today and Conte has less to look puzzled about.

MANAGER’S VIEWS
Going into today’s late game, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, says “We have talked about that because in the last two games we played against Chelsea with 10 men. So of course for the result on Saturday it will be important how we play football, but also the way we behave.”
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte meanwhile, says “This is a big game between two big rivals. It’s important to play a good game. Above all after our defeat against Liverpool. But we know that we’ll face a team, a good team, a big rival.”
