Deadline day: Will Nabil Fekir sign for Chelsea?

deadline day

We’ve certainly sprung into action in the past couple of days in the transfer window. Following a very quiet window involving the signing of only Jorginho from Napoli, Chelsea splashed out £71 million to bring in goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao, as a replacement for the outgoing Thibaut Courtois. We have also agreed a loan deal for Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic, adding more depth and experience to the midfield.… Read More

Is Callum Hudson-Odoi ready for starting place at Chelsea?

It’s an extremely rare sight to see Hector Bellerin, one of the fastest defenders in the world, getting beaten for pace and left on his back. It was, however, something we saw on a regular basis on Wednesday night, when Arsenal took on Chelsea in the International Champions Cup in Dublin.… Read More

Why Chelsea will have trouble winning the Premier League title next season

Pre-season has begun, but there’s still no clarity on the managerial situation at Chelsea. Antonio Conte remains in charge, even though the Italian manager is expected to make way for ex-Napoli head coach Maurizio Sarri this summer.

Such uncertainty doesn’t bode well for a title challenge, so fans might have to keep their expectations low in 2018/19 as a result.Read More

Arsenal 1-1 CHELSEA (4-1 pens): No ABBA fans here

As Community Shields go, it was more of a curtain twitcher than a curtain raiser but it gave the neurotic section of support a trial run to the supermarket for their pampers, so all was not lost. … Read More

Arsenal v CHELSEA: Community Shield Preview

Date: Sunday 6th August, 2017

At long last, after a summer break seemingly full of women’s football and slightly less sunshine, today sees the clichéd ‘curtain raiser’ to the 2015-16 season with the Charity Shield.
Today’s game will be the 14th meeting between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger none of which have been won by the Arsenal manager.… Read More

Pre-season 2014/15: Tears, Tantrums & Testosterone

From the stagnation that is closed season, pre-season proper is a time for speculation, excitation and potentially even ejaculation, or at least pre-season on Twitter is. Midfielder Heading To Chelsea

I have to admit I know nothing about Marco van Ginkel but Jose obviously knows a lot more because the 20 year old Vitesse Arnhem midfielder looks set to become Mourinho’s second signing of the summer.

Rumoured to be worth somewhere in the region of £8 million, the youngster who was a regular for the Dutch side last season, according to a Blues statement “will join Chelsea subject to a medical, agreement of personal terms and legal documentation.”

Cavani: Are Chelsea Really In The Race?

The race to sign Edinson Cavani is largely reminiscent of the hare and the tortoise – and the tortoise will come up trumps again. Ok, so there’s 3 or 4 clubs with their eyes on him but the principle is the same.… Read More
