He's doing ok, he just needs time. If there is no discernible improvement in the team performances this time next year then we can start questioning his ability as a coach.

I'd love for JT to declare himself unavailable for England duty. I'm disappointed at the way he's being treated. Let's not judge him until after the trial. After all the FA are not known for make the best decisions.

I don't buy the argument for one minute that the team is ancient/old and we need more fresh faces.... There are a lot of things that AVB could have tried out, at least in FA cup matches - like going in 4-4-2 , playing Sturridge upfront , moving up Luiz on to midfield, playing mata through the middle.... Its the apparent unwillingness or stubbornness or whatever you call it, to try change things around when your team is not playing well, thats most irking me and making me call for his head.....

It's refreshing as a Chelsea fan that someone is highlighting how special Jose was and not anticipating his return. AVB has done lots of right and quite a few wrongs but still he has triggered that change in everything, he made every player play out of their socks in the first half of season and now he very well know, who to carve out for a better future. Personally I am very happy that he didn't bought any player in January window. This means that he is assured of his capabilities, job and most importantly won't panic buy. Also it's easy for fans to say sell Maloda, Bosingwa and Kalou but we just need to ask ourselves will anyone buy them? NO. AVB is making an 'ancient' team play and still be fourth in the league, that for me is some accomplishment. Also he isn't just fighting to play his ancient players and make them win but also trying to fight the cocoon and counter attack mentality left by Jose that neither Guus nor Carlo could fight. True he hasn't played many youngsters and I personally would have loved to see Bertrand played from time to time, but he is a coach not some wizard. I do feel that in spite of buying Cahill the likes of Bruma and Kalas have a future in Chelsea. I hope I am not proved wrong. We need to keep AVB he may not be the special one but he is the gutsy one and we need someone like him.
