We seem to be losing players at a fairly steady rate this season, be it permanently, on loan or to injury. That doesn’t seem to be bothering anyone who’s interested in Florent Malouda though.
Last month it was Bayern expressing an interest, earlier this month it was Villareal and now we’re hearing that Juventus are sniffing around. More than sniffing in fact, because recent reports suggest they’ve actually approached Chelsea about a loan deal for the French winger.
There’s always been speculation about Malouda which is hardly surprising given that he’s never been what you’d call either consistent or on form since joining us from Lyon for a rumoured £13.5million in 2007, but what is surprising is that our Champions League opponents would have enough front to ask to borrow players when we could be struggling to put a first eleven out by the time we play them anyway.
Are we really seen as that much of a charity these days?
