Valencia 1-1 CHELSEA: Handy Result On The Night

Ok, so we could and probably should have won last night but we didn’t and a draw away at the Mestalla is not to be sniffed at  anyway.  But that’s just me shrugging my Chelsea shoulder’s because there’s not much to say about it.  What’s being said elsewhere though?

CHELSEA 4-1 Swansea: The Good, The Bad & The Committed

We just don’t have average, run-of-the-mill, uneventful games do we? And I suspect we’re all loving it really.

From the minute the team sheet comes out now, there’s a different feel to Chelsea – maybe not the ‘we’re going to beat everyone 24-0’ feel, more of a ‘we have no idea what’s going to happen’ feel – and it’s a good feeling.… Read More

CHELSEA vs Swansea: Preview

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Date: Saturday, 24 September

Kick-off: 1500 BST

Funny how things work out eh? Four years ago, Andre Villas Boas and Brendan Rodgers were part of Jose Mourinho’s back-room staff, this afternoon they’re opposing managers in the Premier League. Both in their thirties, they’ve come a long way but then theyre both ambitious young managers and will come into this game with very different emotions.… Read More

Defending The Goal Or The Keeper?

14 October 2006. Remember that? I know I do although I’m not sure how much Petr Cech remembers of it.  It was pretty harsh to watch him go down under Stephen Hunt’s challenge and even worse once the severity of his injury became clear. … Read More

CHELSEA vs Fulham: Carling Cup Preview

Carling Cup third round

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Date: Wednesday, 21 September

Kick-off: 1945 BST

After the drama of the Premier League at the weekend, it’s Fulham in the Carling Cup tonight – nice to get an easy run of games eh?

Whilst we came out of a tough game against United worse off on Sunday, Fulham battled back to grab a point off the other side of Manchester, so the chances are there’ll be a few changes to either side tonight.… Read More

The Anti-Torres Campaign Rolls On

With the exception of Henry Winter’s account of our game against United, I haven’t bothered reading a single report. For a start, I didn’t need to, I watched it and know what happened so I don’t need to read some biased bullshit account of it. Plus, I knew it’d be a full-on anti-Torres fest.… Read More

Six Of One, Half A Dozen Of The Other?

After my rants on Twitter all night Sunday, I’ve said as little as possible on here about our game against United and planned tolet it lie – unfortunately though, given everything else in the game except ‘that’ miss (which I’ll skip over) and ‘that’ challenge have been ignored, I just can’t help myself.… Read More

United 3-1 CHELSEA: Enough Said?

You won’t have failed to notice that not only did I omit a match report for yesterday’s game, I also left off with the usual links to see who was saying what. There were two reasons for this really: firstly, there was little or no point even looking for reports that could do Chelsea justice because let’s face it – there weren’t going to be any; secondly, I was bloody raging and there’s no way on God’s earth I could have been objective.… Read More
