CHELSEA 2-0 Fulham: Critics in Crisis Now?

If anyone has managed to wade through various tweets/back pages/football forums etc dedicated  almost solely to Juan Mata’s non-selection, they might have picked up the merest hint that a game was actually taking place at Stamford Bridge.  Before that game, we had suffered one narrow defeat in the Premier League to Everton but the mass hysterics coming from the media had Jose on the ropes, the wheels coming off Chelsea’s wagon and our season written off with just about every football cliché you can imagine.

Just hours later, we were sat at the top of the table, the player currently replacing Mata has bagged the opening goal and MOTM and Jon Obi Mikel had scored his first Premier League goal for the club (not sarcasm).  So, presumably the crisis is averted for this week? If you missed it, here’s a round-up of how we averted almost certain disaster (sarcasm).

There’s some reflection from CFC’s Final whistle verdict

Mourinho’s view comes from BT Sport

Opposition opinion is brought to us by Sports Mole give us their player ratings

And the goals come from Soccer blogger

  1. Kool stuff!

  2. The must important thing for me in that game was that John Obi Mikel scored to smash some eggs on the faces of his critics.
