Too soon for Loftus-Cheek? – Tomori, and Giroud to start – Predicted Chelsea line up (4-3-3) for the visit of Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham

Another key fixture for the Blues, as Tottenham travel to Stamford Bridge for a premier league encounter tomorrow lunchtime kick off: 12.30pm.

Formation: 4-3-3

Goalkeeper

Frank Lampard faces another tough decision. Kepa Arrizabalaga has been left out of the last two fixtures, replaced by Willy Caballero. However, the Argentine hasn’t exactly done enough to cement his place. Surely that leaves the door open for Kepa to return, and prove his worth.

Defenders

Andreas Christensen is a doubt. The Dane has been fitted with a protective mask aftrt sustaining a broken nose against Manchester United. I suspect Fikayo Tomori will return to partner Antonio Rudiger as a centre-back pairing. Reece James should start at Right-back, with Cesar Azpilicueta once again occupying the left-back position.

Midfielders

With N’Golo Kante out injured, the midfield picks itself for me. Mateo Kovacic, and Jorginho formed a good pairing in the frenchman’s absence earlier in the season. Regaining that understanding and form could prove pivotal to Chelsea’s season. Mason Mount is likely to play ahead of the midfield pair, in an attacking-,midfield role. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has a good chance of being part of the squad, but is nowhere near ready to start yet.

Front three

Christian Pulisic is still sidelined, but Callum Hudson-Odoi has trained, as has Tammy Abraham. Whether both are fit enough to start is unknown. With that in mind, I think CHO could well start, but Tammy may be rested in favour of Oliver Giroud. The Frenchman made a decent cameo performance on Monday night, and deserves a chance. Willian will start on the right-wing. Hopefully he’ll be able to unlock the Spurs defence.
